A stupa-shaped glass pavilion set in the middle of a vibrant field of cosmos flowers, this installation by Sanitas Studio was part of the Isan Calling exhibition at Jim Thompson Farm in Nakhon Ratchasima. The octagonal stupa design draws inspiration from the ancient “Sukhathalai” or “Arokayasala” healing sanctuaries found at historic Khmer temples in the region. Elevated above the flower field, the structure is clad entirely in glass, allowing it to reflect and harmonize with its natural surroundings. Inside, visitors enter a mirrored chamber where the outside landscape is projected inward through a camera obscura phenomenon—transforming the space into a meditative experience where interior and exterior merge.
